Since the invention of the camera in 1827, countless photographs have captured the ever-changing world. However, it was not until 1991 that Kodak introduced the first commercially available digital camera, marking a shift from physical copies to digital images. Despite this transition, most of these photographs still remain hidden away in shoeboxes or scattered across various online libraries that are not easily accessible.

OldView serves as a platform for bringing these images to life and sharing them with the world. Users can explore a vast collection of images within their vicinity from OldView's extensive database. Furthermore, they have the opportunity to digitize and upload their own personal collections, enabling them to connect with family, friends, and the global community. This platform also fosters engagement as other OldView users can like and comment on these uploaded images, facilitating immediate communication for the user.
